The Wonderful World of Blogging!

I am excited to be joining the wonderful world of blogging. I've always considered myself a writer since my first Hello Kitty journal I got for Christmas when I was 7. Never mind that my entries these days have been about as sporadic as San Diego snow. That changes now!
Today was already busy with co-op preschool here at our house. The theme was Shapes. It is amazing how exciting shapes can be when you are three. Here is my darling enthusiastic class dressed as princesses for "Fairy Tales"--October's theme. One of the best things about preschool is the opening song we sing in circle time: "Sarah (insert each child's name for their turn), will you stand up and let us see you smile? We're glad you're here today, won't you stay awhile?" I think it is from the Joy School curriculum, which we don't use, but the girls love the song. What I love is the way each one jumps up as soon as their name is sung and beams. They stand there and soak up the attention so unabashedly...today there were some impromptu pirouettes. I wish we could stay that comfortable in accepting the affirmation of our peers...none of this trying minimize our contributions--which in this case is just showing up!
