Well, we did it!
We bought the house. (Or are buying it...we are in escrow.) It is like a dream how everything fell into place. As I wrote earlier, we put in an offer in October which she turned down flat. We countered and she was so offended she didn't want anything to do with us. So six months later she has reduced her price and we get a call from her realtor that they have an offer, are we still interested. We thought it was weird that he called us when they have just countered an offer. We asked him about that and he said that the offer was below range and he asked if he could contact us as well. She said sure, whatever, so he did saying, "I always thought it would end up with you guys for some reason." So we put in an offer and that night he called us as we played dominos with friends to say she accepted! Crazy! We weren't even actively looking anymore, just continually prayerful. We got it for below her reduced price range and are so excited.
Everytime I think about it, I only feel warm and good and excited. No buyers' remorse or conflicted feelings. Just that I am so grateful for how the Lord is mindful of each of us and our concerns. I have felt and continue to feel the spirit very strongly--even now as I write--and because sometimes it seems like in weightier matters the heavens are silent, it has been a tender mercy to know that I am known to God and even in worldly concerns, He knows me and He is involved in our lives. Who knew that buying a home could be such a powerful spiritual experience.
We will close on May 10th and take possession on May 13th-a Sunday We won't be moving in that day :) but as Spencer said, "Happy Mother's Day!"

Hi Kim-
Congratulations on your new home purchase! I just wanted to tell you that Lindsey and Nate are buying a townhome in Payson and they are closing the same day-May 10th. They are excited too because they are currently renting and Lindsey is loosing sleep at night because of the noisy neighbors upstairs. See you soon!
Love,
Aunt Raquel
