Climb Every Mountain...

Spencer is our ward activity chairman and our latest activity was climbing Mt. Woodson.

It was really fun. There were probably a few people who pushed double jogging strollers the entire 1.8 miles uphill and then kept them under control back down the mountain who weren't so sure... But everyone (about 15 families) made it to the top and it was a gorgeous day. I love all the big boulders and the view is awesome. It was fun to see people rock climbing too. I guess Mt. Woodson is a big boulder climbing destination.
A smaller group made a short expedition from the top to "potato-chip rock", a boulder whose bottom has eroded just leaving the top curved part left. Makes my stomach feel all funny just looking at it!
Rachel, Daniel, and Eric did awesome. Sarah needed a little encouragement in a few spots, but she did great. I can't believe how many of the three and under crowd made it. That is a big climb for such little legs! It probably says more about the parents' perseverance than the kids'! It was a fun beautiful day.
