Elder Perry came for Stake Conference and it was an awesome weekend. The meetings were all great and a fun perk of being related to Mr. Stake President aka Dad was that we were able to have dinner with Elder Perry before he had to catch his flight home.
He was amazingly current and quick for being 87 and has a great sense of humor. We had a fun time talking. He was very sweet with the kids and listened to Daniel play the piano and told Rachel, when she asked, his favorite article of faith--#13--and recited it super fast to her. He told her that he had kind of forgotten them so he posted them on his mirror and would recite them in order on the even days and backwards on the odd days and in no time he had them all memorized again.
I'm grateful for living apostles and prophets.

Wow-what an awesome experience to be able to have an apostle spend time with your family. I love Elder Perry. That is something I'm sure you will all cherish and remember forever. My kids were so excited to see the pictures!
