Friday was our fourth elementary school Jog-a-thon and Sarah was finally able to run! She was very excited and won first place in her class.
Daniel was pumped too and in a class of 16 boys and 4 girls the competition was fierce. One poor little guy was inconsolable when he didn't run the most laps--and this is not a race!
By third grade, Rachel was in it more for the social aspects and Spencer and I took turns running (or in Spencer's case--wheeling) with her the whole time so she wouldn't stop and talk when her friends wanted to. She's fast but didn't want to run past her friends!
It was fun--they stagger the times so Sarah ran at 8:30, Daniel at 9:20 and Rachel at 10:10 so we made a morning of it. Eric and Melanie were good spectators--only a few more years before they'll be hitting the track too!

I didn't know Sarah was so fast - good for her! I love the last picture of Melanie and Eric - so cute!!!
Looks like a fun day. I remember having races like that when I was in elementary school. Maybe we will have some more runners in the family :-)
