Back to School!

It's so hard to believe we're back in school!
The summer goes by awfully fast when we start back in August--
and have a baby!
All ready to walk to the first day of school!
Rachel, 3rd grade!
That's how old I was when we moved to Poway. She has had the same teacher for the past two years and was a little nervous to meet her new teacher, Mrs. Scott.
She had a great first day complete with a hershey's kiss sensory lesson to go along with a chapter of "The Chocolate Touch." She said Mrs. Scott was super nice and is excited for a great year.
Daniel, 1st grade!
Daniel literally did a happy dance when we received the phone call telling him his teacher was Mrs. Stamp. She was his phenomenal PEPP teacher and he couldn't wait to be in her class again. 1st grade is a longer day, but he's adjusting fine and likes that he can play with Rachel and her friends on the "big" playground.
Sarah, Kindergarten!
The district is shifting to all-day kindergarten but we put together a big letter writing campaign and managed to secure one half-day class for our school--
the only one in the district!
They said we could do it if there was enough demand for it and it is totally full--with seven little girls from the ward! I had the option to send Sarah this year or next year and really struggled with the decision but feel like this will be great. She has the same wonderful teacher that Rachel and Daniel had (Mrs. H), lots of friends, and lots of spunk!

Melanie and Eric walk to school with the big kids and Mom in my garage sale find of the decade! I love this jogging stroller! I meet my friend after drop off and we walk around the neighborhood for about 45 minutes. It's a great way to start the day. Eric loves that Melanie is in a "bag" and always has to talk about it when we head off.

We went swimming and had a big pencil brownie to celebrate the first day of school. It's going to be a great year!

You are so creative to think of a pencil brownie. That stroller for sure is a great find and there is nothing better then walking with friends to start the day! I miss my walking group in Provo, I will have to rally up a new one in MS. I can't believe your kids are getting so grown up and are all back in school. They sure are a cute bunch!
