Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Nativity on Christmas Eve. We put together some costumes with things we found in our suitcases and around the cabin and recruited Uncle Bryan for a wiseman and Uncle Spencer & dog Tommy for our Shepherd and sheep. Grandpa read the Christmas story from the bible while the events were recreated for an appreciative audience.
I may possibly be biased, but it was the most enjoyable nativity I've ever seen. :)
We had read "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" to the kids this year and it was fun for them to do their own "pageant."

"Fear Not!" The angel appearing to the shepherd & sheep.

The shepherd visiting Joseph, Mary, & baby Jesus.

The wiseman followed the star bringing gifts. We had to stop Mary from opening them.
Eric was into it. We had tried to dress him up but he just wanted to watch.

Joseph, Mary & the Angel.

The whole beloved cast.

I'm glad Mary & Joseph resolved their disagreement over whether or not there was an orangutan in the stable, haha. I agree, most entertaining nativity ever!

It looks like you guys had so much fun. I must say that all the productions I have been lucky enough to see at your house have been quite entertaining. I'm sure this one was no different!

By the way, Cafe Rio was as good as I remembered. We also ate at Brick Oven on our way up to Salt Lake. Food always tastes better when there are fun memories associated with it!
