Eric's First Haircut

Spencer has been after me to cut Eric's hair for a while now.

I don't know what kind of bias he has against little blonde ringlets.

I couldn't do it! I love those little blonde curls!

But after a series of comments, including one from our six-year-old friend, Eli, "Eric's hair is long...kind of like a girl..." I knew that the time had come. Although whether his hair was really too long is still up for debate.

I took him somewhere because I knew I couldn't do it myself, and even when we got there I almost didn't go in. I told Amber, the hairstylist, that I was doing it for my husband and that I loved his curls. So she told me she'd give him a "surfer cut" which would be much shorter, but would leave some hair in the back that would "tighten up" and still curl a bit.

It was a good transition cut for momma. :)
