Moving, Broken Arms, Broken Camera...

Well it has been awhile since I have updated!
We have been busy, to put it mildly.
We've moved, sold our home (well, it is in escrow, conditional on permitting our loft--but that is a WHOLE 'nother story!), had a college reunion in Vegas, painted, carpeted, furnished (partially), school has come to an end (this week!), Spencer has been on a business trip on an "Around the World" ticket, and I survived!
In the middle of our craziness sweet Rachel, our resident tree climber decided to try out the tall tree in the corner of our backyard. Unbeknownst to us, the tree is dead, and in the middle of a game of "monster" unsuspecting Rachel climbed the tree to escape, the limb broke, and she fell over 10 feet, breaking both her arms.
The ER Drs at Children's were wonderful. We're so grateful to them. They said Rachel was lucky because when falling from a great height, if both arms are broken that means they broke the fall and avoided a head injury. Her first casts were bright green with spacers to allow for swelling. We went in a week later for x-rays and to re-wrap. Now she has one pink, one blue. She'll get the small one off at the 4 week mark, next Thursday and 2 weeks later on the evening of July 12th she'll get the left one removed!
I think we're going to plan a big swim party for her Lucky Day--Friday the 13th!
